Message from the Principal

Dear Liberty Families,

It is amazing that the month of May is here!  We have a lot of important events happening at Liberty.  We celebrated our wonderful secretaries, Mrs. Niksa, Mrs. Santana and Mrs. Bausinger.  They were honored with gifts, poems and cards by our students at Morning Program.  

 

Picture Day will be Tuesday, May 7.  Ms. Horan has planned a Field Day on May 10th for the students during their Physical Education period. The rain date will be May 17th.  Thank you Ms. Horan!

 

We will be honoring our school nurse, Mrs. Kathleen Fredericks and we will honor our Cafeteria staff at Morning Program on Monday, May 13.  They are important members of our Liberty Family!  Please join us for STREAM Night at Liberty on Wednesday, May 22 at 6:00-7:30pm.  Students and their families are welcome!

 

Spring Concert season is upon us!  Please save the dates:

       Thursday, May 16th Grades 4 & 5 at 6pm at Liberty

        Friday, June 7:  Grades 1-3 at 9:30am at Liberty

 

Our fifth graders will be visiting the Middle School on Thursday, May 30 for Bridges as they begin getting ready for their journey to the Middle School.

 

PLEASE NOTE:  NO SCHOOL:  Monday, May 27 (Memorial Day)

                                     Tuesday, May 28 (Unused snow day)

 

Best wishes for a Happy Mother’s Day to all our Liberty Moms!  We always appreciate your efforts to make Liberty a special place to be!

Need to Know

LIBERTY’S IMPORTANT REMINDERS:    ATTENDANCE: If your child is ill and cannot attend school, please call Mrs. Fredericks (our nurse) at 353-7250 and leave a message. Please leave your child’s full name, class and reason for the absence. When your child returns to school, a written note is required.

**** If your child has a change in dismissal plans, a note must  be sent to the classroom teacher who will alert the office. It would be appreciated if phone calls were not made for this purpose unless of an emergency.
